"How Many Kings: Songs for Christmas" Releases Today

Hmk-coverToday is a big day for downhere. Our very first full-length Christmas album releases in stores, and we're excited for you to hear it! "How Many Kings: Songs for Christmas" was a really fun album to do. We opted to self-produce this one which allowed us a lot of freedom to get creative and have fun in the process. For those of you who are familiar with downhere's music, you won't be disappointed: there are the trademark harmonies and piano combined with the theologically solid and well-crafted lyrics (there are 4 original songs on the album plus a new arrangement of "How Many Kings"). There are also a number of firsts on this album: Marc (who is French Canadian) sings French for the first time on a downhere record, I make my singing debut (don't get too excited!), Jason's dog makes an appearance, we record someone banging on a JUNO Award… just to name a few. Click the video below to watch a 6 minute "making-of" piece – Glenn did a great job putting it together.

I'm obviously biased, but I don't think you'll be disappointed if you pick up this album. It releases in stores today – you're going to want one for yourself and all of your family and friends – trust me! :) Click here to download the album directly from iTunes. Please take a second after you've purchased it and had a chance to listen to it and post a review online somewhere – that always helps. Enjoy – and have a merry early Christmas!

I’ll definitely have to go get this cd! I’m ridiculous about Christmas music. At last count I had around 40 cd’s. From Johnny Mathis and Michael Buble, to Child of the Promise (best play ever) and most Christian artists who put one out. I’m also excited that the Katina’s have a Christmas cd coming out too. I guess my collection is going to grow a lot this season ;)

But Jeremy! Your singing debut is my favorite part! ;-)

Will definitely purchase this…probably today:) Although, by doing that, I will be tempted to listen to Christmas music much sooner than my usual!

Although a little early for the season, I just cannot stop listening to the new album!
So far I only purchased the iTunes version, but I will definitely order a ‘physical’ copy as well!
From Holland, an early Merry Christmas back to you.. God bless!

I bought two copies of How Many Kings so that I could give the second one to a friend who also enjoys downhere’s ministry. I usually play Christmas music in October so I was very glad this CD was coming out in October. I received them actually a day before the release date. I have been playing my CD over and over can’t get enough of the songs.

I’m already enjoying the How Many Kings CD. Love downhere’s take on the classic carols but I really love the original music. How Many Kings is fast becoming my favorite Christmas song.

I have been listening to this for quite a while now and I have to say I have never purchased a Christmas CD outside of a single compilation of classic (Burl Ives, Bing Crosby, etc) carols.
I love it from top to bottom and the more I listen to it the more it makes me thank God for sending Jesus to our save our helpless souls, and also for the ministry He has ordained within you, Glenn, Jason, and Marc.
God bless you! (…and a happy New Year!)

Don’t be so modest. You’re the rhythm that keeps the rock rolling– it’s about time you got your solo performance! =D
Thank you for all your hard work on this album! It’s so fun and beautiful. A great tribute to our Savior.

Love that beat on God Rest Ye!

First of all, I absolutely LOVE the new version of How Many Kings. I think I like it better than the original, it has more “soul” if you know what I mean.
But I also have to say, I was disappointed that the video didn’t have any shots of Glenn whacking the Juno!

Thank you, Jeremy! This is a terrific album. I wish you could write more blogs, because your writing manner is awesome. Have you ever thought of being a writer or working for a writing service company for example? I wish you good luck with that.
